Duty Free Allowances
Information on Duty Free allowances can be found in Airport Information.
Passports and Visa Information
Airport staff require you to show all relevant travel documents at check-in. This will include a passport and may include a visa and proof of onward travel.
Guests are solely responsible for obtaining all travel documents and for complying with all laws, regulations, orders and travel requirements of countries to be flown from, into or over. The airline may refuse to carry you if we reasonably believe you will be refused entry to the destination country.
General information on passports and visas may be found at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website or at the Immigration New Zealand website.
Passports
All Guests require a passport for international travel, regardless of destination. The passport must be valid for the duration of your trip. If you have not already applied for your passport, arrange this well in advance of your departure date.
Always check that your passport is valid, and keep in mind some countries require passports to be valid for a certain length of time beyond your visit.
Visas
A visa is permission for a non-citizen to travel to a particular country. Visas are obtained from the issuing authority in your country, usually an embassy. Entry to Australia and New Zealand is visa-free for Australian and New Zealand passport holders, provided each visitor complies in all respects with the entry requirements of both countries.
However, visas are required for Guests of all other nationalities, including British, U.S. and Canadian. These Guests should contact their nearest Australian and/or New Zealand consular office for assistance well in advance of their departure date for Australia and/or New Zealand.
A list of Australian embassies can be viewed on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website. Australian Visas can also be obtained online at the Department of Immigration website. A list of New Zealand embassies can be viewed at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Affairs website.
Onward/Return Travel
Most countries require visitors to have proof of onward or return travel arrangements – your itinerary may serve this purpose. All visitors must carry proof of onward/return travel arrangements with them. Failure to do so may result in refusal of carriage and loss of fare.
We recommend printing your itinerary prior to arriving for check-in. Guests should also ensure that they have the right of re-entry to their return destination.
