Credit card fees

In line with industry practice, Virgin Australia has introduced a surcharge for fares paid by credit cards or debit cards.

Payments by credit or debit card attract a surcharge per passenger, per flight segment which will be added to the total price of your fare when you select your credit card or debit card type on the payment screen.

Credit card surcharges are non-refundable in all cases, even if the airfare itself is refundable.

How?

  • If you made your original booking on the Virgin Blue Airpass website (or if you are a Guest with special needs, via the Guest Contact Centre):

Before you arrive in Australia or New Zealand

^  If you are a Guest with special needs, you must contact our 24hr Guest Contact Centre to make changes to your booking. You cannot make changes via our website.

  • Changes must be made online or via the GCC as set out above. Changes are not permitted at Airport check-in.
  • If you made your original booking with a travel agent, you may wish to contact your travel agent to make your changes.
  • There is no restriction on how many times you can change your Airpass flights, as long as the changes comply with the change rules listed above.
  • If a number of Guests are booked on the Virgin Blue Airpass and you wish to remove one or more of these Guests, you must call the GCC on +61 7 3295 2296 and pay the applicable service fee set out in the change rules listed above. You cannot remove a Guest out of a booking online via the Airpass website.
  • Changes other than Time/Date/Route changes (such as name changes) are not permitted.
